专利说明:
[0001] The invention relates, in general, to the electrical connection and the mechanical fastening of connectors. [0002] Such connectors may be intended to convey supply or control signals. They comprise for example a set of contact modules, respectively male and female, which are intended to cooperate during connection. The assembly of the connectors requires assembly efforts which can be important depending on the density of points, that is to say, contacts, to connect. These efforts are related to the interpenetration of contacts between them. Indeed, the male contacts must come into contact with the female contacts, which are clamping, and which oppose resistance to assembly. When the contacts are hermaphrodite, the clamping is generated on both sides of the connector and mounting forces can also be important. In addition, the mounting rates generate cost issues related to the time of installation and maintenance of the connectors. The use of tools reduces this rate and permanently monopolizes an operator's hand. Finally, it is necessary to be able to quickly analyze the correct locking of the connectors, which may be incompatible with conventional screw connection systems because the tightening torques can not be appreciated visually, or with the conventional connection systems by clipping or to quarter turn that can remain partially locked without a visual inspection to identify the imperfect connection. In view of the foregoing, the object of the invention is to propose a system for connecting connectors requiring no tools for coupling and uncoupling the system, which can be implemented in an easy manner, of a single hand, which provides a mounting and disassembly assistance to reduce coupling and uncoupling efforts. The invention therefore relates to a system for connecting at least one pair of paired connectors, comprising a plate 5 comprising an opening for each pair of connectors and on which is fixed a first connector of said pair and a latch laterally movable relative to the plate and the first connector, said latch being movable in a first position adapted to allow the insertion of the second connector of said pair 10 until the connectors are brought into contact and in a second stable position of coupling and locking connectors. The first position therefore corresponds to an open position of the lock, in which the lock is for example in a retracted position, while the second position corresponds to a closed position of the lock in which the lock is for example in the advanced position. According to another characteristic of the connection system according to the invention, the latch comprises an assembly of at least a first ramp on which a pin provided on the second connector rests when the lock is moved in the second position. The lock may further comprise an assembly of at least one second ramp parallel to the first ramp and on which the pin rests during the displacement of the lock in the first position for the disengagement of the connectors. [0003] In one embodiment, the ramps open into a locking gadget. According to yet another feature, the first and second connectors respectively comprise an end base equipped with fixing means on the plate and a plug 30 on which are provided the or pawns. In one embodiment, the second connector has a control tail for moving the latch in the first retracted position. [0004] Advantageously, provision will be made for an elastic return element biasing the latch in the first position. Advantageously, a visual cue placed in the path of the latch and visible only when the latch is in the locking position will be advantageously provided. In one embodiment, the system comprises a layer of compressible material adapted to be compressed at the end of the coupling race of the connectors or at the beginning of the uncoupling of the connectors. [0005] In one embodiment, the system includes a protective cap against electromagnetic radiation. Other objects, features and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description, given solely by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is an exploded view in perspective of a connection system according to the invention; FIGS. 2a, 2b and 2c show various embodiments of the plate of the system of FIG. 1; FIG. 3 shows the lock of the connection system of FIG. 1; FIGS. 4 and 5 show respectively the base and the plug of the first and second connectors; FIGS. 6a to 6i illustrate the assembly kinematics of the connectors by means of a connection system according to the invention; and FIGS. 7a to 7f illustrate the disengagement kinematics of the connectors by means of a connection system according to the invention. [0006] Reference will first be made to FIGS. 1 to 5 which illustrate the main elements of a paired connector connection system according to the invention, denoted by the general reference numeral 1. [0007] In the application envisaged, in no way limiting, this connection system 1 is intended to provide assistance in connecting two connectors, male and female respectively, for an avionic application. [0008] As is known, the connectors conventionally comprise a set of contact modules, having a set of contacts, male or female, provided at the ends of conductors to be connected. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the connection system essentially comprises: a plate 2 provided with gills 3, here at the number of four, for fixing the connection system on a mounting support; a latch 4 movable transversely, that is to say in the plane of the plate 2, between a first retracted position, corresponding to an open position of the latch and a second advanced position corresponding to a closed position of the latch; a base 5 provided at one end of a first connector to be matched and which is fixed on the plate 2; and a plug 6 provided at one end of a second connector to be matched. As shown in Figures 2a and 2b, the plate 2 comprises a set of openings 7 whose number depends on the number of connectors to be connected. Although the number of openings is not limiting, in the various embodiments illustrated, the plate 2 may comprise one, three or five openings for connecting one, three or five pairs of connectors. For each opening, the plate comprises a tab 8 for fixing by screwing the base 5 of the first connector. The peripheral edge of each opening 7 also includes a set of reliefs delimiting an imprint for receiving the base 5. With regard to the latch 4, it has essentially a U-shape and comprises two lateral branches 4a and 4b joined by a base 4c provided with an upper tab 4d bent to be manually operated. Each arm 4a and 4b of the lock comprises a set of slots, such as 4e, delimiting each a first ramp 4f and a second ramp 4g extending in parallel and serving respectively 3033091 5 when connecting the connectors and the other during uncoupling. As can be seen, each of the slots 4e opens into a 4h end godron. Referring to FIG. 4, the base 5, which is provided at one end of a first connector to be connected, constitutes a mounting piece in which the first connector C1 is housed, or which is integral with the latter, and comprises, in this example, an end lug 5a provided with an orifice 51) for fixing the base by means of a screw V (FIG. 1) on the plate 2. Of course, alternatively, any other suitable means could be used for fixing the base on the plate, for example a clipping a weld, ... As shown in Figure 5, the plug 6 also constitutes a mounting piece in which The second connector C2 which is to be connected or which is integral with the latter is housed. It comprises essentially a tail 6a which is intended to cause the displacement of the lock at the beginning of the connection phase and a set of pins 6b whose number corresponds to the slots 4e and which are intended to cooperate with the ramps 4f and 4g 20 during the coupling, on the one hand and during uncoupling, on the other hand, connectors. The number and position of the pins and slots is chosen so as to allow movement of the plug in translation, in the axis of the contacts, during the movement of the lock. Returning to FIG. 3, it will be noted that, to facilitate the displacement of the latch 4, the end zone of the tabs 4a and 4b includes an inclined ramp, such as 4i, on which the end of the tail rests. 6a. Reference will now be made to FIGS. 6a to 6i, which illustrate the connection kinematics of the two connectors by means of a connection system which has just been described. Note that the first connector and the base it carries are fixed, being screwed on the plate 2, while the plug and the corresponding connector constitute a movable and removable portion which is dissociated from the connection system to its connection. [0009] 3033091 6 Similarly, before the implementation of the connector connection procedure, the latch 4 is inserted into the opening of the plate, and between the plate 3 and the base 5 so that the tab 4d is accessible from the side of the plate 2 opposite the base 5. [0010] In a first phase, the plug 6 of the second connector, which here constitutes a female connector, is approached to the plate 2, until the tail 6a bears against the end ramp 4i of the lock. When the plug 6 is further engaged in the platen, the latch is moved laterally to a retracted position (Figs. 6b and 6c) allowing complete insertion of the second connector for contacting the first and second connectors. This displacement advantageously takes place against a return force exerted by an elastically deformable element, such as a spring R interposed between the latch and the plate. As will be indicated later, the spring R is optional. Moreover, the presence of one or more polarizer (s) realized (s) in the form of a rod T which fits into a corresponding hole in the plate, ensures the insertion of the plug in adequacy with the base when inserted into the plate. [0011] When moving the plug 6 relative to the lock, the pins 6b engage in the slots 4e. It will be noted that the position visible in FIG. 6b, in which the pins 6b are located at the inlet of the slots, corresponds to a contact between the male and female contacts of the connectors. Position 6c corresponds to the end position of latch 4 in the retracted position. In the next step (FIG. 6d), the lock is manually advanced by action on the end tail 4d of the lock. This phase corresponds to the beginning of the phase of assistance to the connection of the connectors. When the lock is moved to the advanced position, the 30 pins 6b bear against the ramp 4f slots 4e until they reach the end 4h godron (Figure 6f), which corresponds to the end of the phase assistance. Referring to Figures 6g and 6h, on which the base and the plug have been removed and on which has been shown an internal view 3033091 7 of a contact module, we see that an additional effort manually applied causes compression a compressible material 9 provided between the connectors so that the passage of the pins in the godron 4h requires additional effort easily identifiable by the operator. This material may for example be obtained by overmolding a silicone. In the position illustrated in Figure 6i, the two connectors are perfectly connected, the latch being maintained in the advanced position with the pins stably engaged in the gadroons. [0012] It will also be noted that, in this position, the correct connection of the connectors can be visually identified by means of a visual cue 10 provided on the plate and which is visible only when the lock is in fully advanced position. Finally, reference is made to FIGS. 7a and 7f, which show that the connection system according to the invention is also adapted to provide assistance in disconnecting connectors. Uncoupling is achieved by manually moving the latch forward. Referring first to FIG. 7a, in order to proceed with this disengagement, it is first of all necessary to exert sufficient force on the latch to compress the compressible material provided between the connectors and to release the pieces 4 h. It is then necessary to move the lock back (FIGS. 7b to 7e) to cause the uncoupling of the contacts, thanks to the second ramp 4g on which the pins 6b rest. Note that this movement is against the force exerted by the return spring R. At the end of the lock stroke, the male contacts are fully extracted from the female contacts and the plug is in the retracted position. When the latch is fully moved to the advanced position, the plug 30 is free and can be extracted manually. Note also that the system which has just been described may also be provided with a cap or a cap of electrically conductive material (not shown) to form an electromagnetic shield. [0013] Finally, it will be noted that the invention which has just been described is limited to the embodiment envisaged. Indeed, in the embodiment described, using a tail 6a provided on the plug to recall the latch in the retracted position, which cooperates with a ramp on the latch 4. It is also possible, alternatively, instead of the tail and the ramp, to provide a hold of the lock in the retracted position before mounting the plug 6. In this respect could be used any known means for releasably holding the lock to ensure non-permanent retention of the lock, such as a spring-loaded ball stop, a controlled tightening of the lock between the plate 2 and the base 5, a retention clip, ... In this case, the return spring is no longer necessary and may be omitted.
